Cybersecurity From the Board Perspective
April 13 @ 12:45 pm - 1:45 pm
This session is designed to help the Information Technology professional to better understand what and how to communicate with the members of the board of directors. Whether you are the CIO, the CISO or a Major IT technology project manager, you will benefit from a better understanding of board members. These individuals come from a variety of work experience backgrounds, education and training, and personal life experiences and each of those characteristics impact how they behave in the board room. At times, they can seem to speak a different language; which makes effective communication difficult. And yet, there are a number of consistent key issues that you will need to be aware of, if you are to be effective in communicating your topic and information reporting.
Mr. Czarnecki is that unique combination of an experienced CEO and C-Suite Executive with extensive IT experience, and a seasoned director who has served on dozens of boards in a wide range of leadership positions from Chair of the Audit Committee to Chair of the Board. His presentation will provide you with specific guidance on how to assure that your information is relevant and understood by the board, and hints on the kinds of questions you may expect to get from them.
