Emotional Intelligence: Compassion in the Workplace
April 12 @ 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm
As leaders, it is your job to show compassion in the workplace. Is this true? Do you believe it’s the leaders job to take care of the people around her? How much will you sacrifice for your team? Would they sacrifice for you? Is it the leaders job to make people feel safe and secure?
Join in a discussion based on the work of Simon Sinek and others. Simon talks about why a good leader makes you feel safe. Brene Brown talks about why vulnerability is so important. Daniel Goleman discusses why emotional intelligence is the best indicator of a good leader. We will explore and discuss whether good leaders make you feel safe and the concept of service, emotion, compassion and vulnerability in today’s workplace.
